Located on Newbury Street in Boston’s Back Bay, this residential renovation reimagines three compact residences through thoughtful planning, integrated materials, and custom Italian craftsmanship.
The project consists of two identical one-bedroom residences, each measuring approximately 670 square feet, along with a smaller studio residence on the top floor.
Adige redesigned the layout of the one-bedroom units entirely, reversing the original configuration to create a more intuitive and light-filled living experience. The previous layout positioned the bedroom along the Newbury Street side, with the kitchen and living spaces toward the rear alley. The redesigned plan relocates the living area to the street-facing side of the residence, allowing natural light and views of Newbury Street to become the focal point of the home, while the bedroom is positioned toward the quieter rear side of the building.
Throughout the residences, Adige provided a fully integrated interior package including custom kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities, tailored closet systems, and engineered wood flooring in Adige’s signature Cappuccino finish. The project also features our latest custom interior door systems, further reinforcing the cohesive architectural language carried throughout each unit.
The result is a collection of refined residences that bring elevated, European-inspired design to a compact footprint.
